If so, Red Spot would like to talk to you about an opportunity to join one of our company’s most rapidly growing areas – UV Commercial Development.  In the automotive market, Red Spot is the leading supplier of UV-curable and thermal coatings, including UV basecoats and topcoats, SRC for head lamp and tail lamp lenses, and high-performance coatings for metallized reflectors.  Our coatings have quickly expanded to non-automotive industries as well, such as consumer products and building materials. 

Position responsibilities include:

• Working with customers to solve problems and identify coating solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
• Improving/optimizing current UV formulations
• Adapting and/or developing new UV formulations
• Regularly communicating with customers, suppliers, co-workers and others
• Assuming responsibility of new UV technologies developed within our company’s Product Dev. Dept.

Our position requires the following:

·         BS in Chemistry or related science degree

·         Prior UV curable development experience (automotive is preferred)

·         Understanding of effects of pigmentation on the cure mechanism of UV coatings

·         Strong analytical/problem solving skills

·         Thorough understanding of coatings and ways to correct problems

·         Experience with weatherable coatings is preferred

·         Self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects
