This Formulation Chemist position encompasses the following; product development, testing, and laboratory tasks. Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in chemistry. Minimum of five years experience in product development and manufacturing of epoxy, urethane, and polyester adhesives and coatings. In-depth understanding of epoxy adhesives in structural, electronic, and high performance bonding applications. Background in two-part, one-part, and UV cured adhesives. Computer literacy, good inter-personal skills. Excellent record keeping required. Responsibilities: Coordinating product development, formulation and compounding of experimental products. Testing of both experimental and line products. The use of mechanical, thermal, and electrical testing equipment. This includes method development, sample preparation, generation and interpretation of test results. Written preparation of competitive testing reports and the preparation of seminars. Interfacing with customers. Coordination of field testing and installation of existing and developmental products. Contributing innovative ideas with regards to all company operations and Research and Development programs.
