Job Description:
Applies standard methods and techniques, which require the use of judgment in selecting alternatives. Helps to develop new stereolithographic materials. Performs specific research components of a larger project(s) directed by a senior professional, and may be requested to lead small project activities.  Performs work in areas of readily available data resources and repetitive tasks.  Performs quality control measurements.  Operates solid imaging equipment for the purpose of testing materials and fabricating demonstration parts.  Bachelor of Science or Associates degree in Chemistry or related field with > 3 years previous experience.  Prefer previous UV experience and some industrial experience.  Photochemistry; polymer chemistry; polymer science and engineering; statistics; DOE experience helpful; synthetic organic chemistry; comfortable operating computers and familiar with scientific software such as Statistica; familiar with lasers; familiar with polymer analytical methods (DSC, TMA, DMA, HPLC) Previous analytical chemistry experience preferred.  Must be able to hear alarms and warning signals to react according to safety procedures.  Must be able to stand at laboratory bench or hood while performing chemistry-related tasks.  Must be willing to spend 2-3 months training  in Delaware before relocating to Illinois.  Please respond by sending resume to Desotech.hr@dsm.com.
