Frequent traveling required.

The Role:
Great Opportunity for an experienced chemical industry sales professional or a technical service professional looking to move to a commercial role. IGM Resins is a leading marketer and manufacturer of UV Radcure specialties which are formulated into inks, coatings, adhesives and a wide variety of UV applications. The Area Sales Representative will be responsible for managing product sales to current customers and prospective customers in an assigned multistate territory. You will be expected to develop an in-depth knowledge of the products, service, and markets in order to match the company’s offerings to both existing and prospective customer needs. This includes having an understanding of the company’s products and capabilities to develop and tailor solutions to meet customer needs. The sales representative will also be responsible for maintaining long-term, lasting business relationships through
effective communication, technical consultation, knowledge of products, applications, markets and industry trends. He, or she, will effectively communicate internally including developing and continually updating forecasts, budgets, goals and objectives, and report customer and market trends and competitive activity in a timely fashion.

The Profile:
You must have a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or equivalent technical field preferred, plus 5 or more years of technical support and / or sales experience in the chemical industry, with specific experience with UV materials preferred. You must have the ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory with 2-5 overnights per week being typical. Must be professional, ethical, results and business-oriented with a strong work ethic with the experience to grow existing customers and to aggressively develop prospective customers through faceto- face selling. Must possess a high level of technical skills with the ability to effectively communicate and sell to various levels and departments of existing and prospective customer organizations. The ideal candidates will be located either in the North East or Central USA areas.
