Chevy Chase, MD—(January 19, 2006) RadTech—The Association for UV and EB Technology welcomes new Board members for the new year—Mike Idacavage of Cytec Surface Specialties; Petra L’Abbe, PPG Industries, Inc.; Howard Ragin, Craig Adhesives & Coatings; Mark Tilley, DSM Venturing; Maureen Waite, Sartomer Co.; Joel Johnson, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base; and John Stansfield, Accelerated Curing. In addition, Tom Dunn, Printpack Inc., has been confirmed for a second two year term.
“With manufacturing technology facing unprecedented competitive and regulatory challenges, ultraviolet and electron beam processes offer unique productivity enhancing, environmentally friendly solutions,” says David Harbourne, RadTech President, and President of Fusion UV. “Our Board members are key in efforts to help educate and get the word out about the many benefits of the technology.”
UV and EB offer manufacturers a high value, rapid throughput coating, adhesive, ink, and composites curing technology, which virtually eliminates emissions and lowers energy consumption compared with traditional curing methods. UV/EB technology typically provides users a safer, faster, more efficient process, and, as a result, the industry has been growing at over twice the rate of the traditional processes over the last several years.
